Police personnel need to be more alert to make law and order situation better: Nitish

Patna, Nov 20 (UNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday directed police personnel to remain more alert for improving law and order situation.
Chairing a high level meeting at ‘Sankalp’, 1, Anne Marg here to review law and order situation in the state, Mr Kumar said that majority of criminal cases were related to land and property disputes and so land disputes should be settled at the earliest.
The CM said for settlement of land disputes, administrative and police officers at various levels starting from officers-in-charge of police stations and circle officers to police superintendents and districts magistrates should hold meetings regularly once a week fixed for the purpose. He said that the work of investigation into criminal cases would be expedited following separation between law and order duty and investigation work.
