Police nab woman vendor with heroine: Produced before court

Ambassa(Tripura), Nov 03 (UNI) In a strong move against addiction the Sub-Divisional Police Officer(SDPO) has arrested a woman vendor with heroine and has booked her under the NDPS act in the bordering subdivision of Longtorai valley in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here recently.
According to an information, SDPO Robert L. Darlong conducted raid after being tipped-off in the house of Pusparam Chakma in the Dhanyaram Karbari para whose wife Chandradebi Chakma has been dealing with heroine for a long time. The police has seized approximately 5.2 gram of heroine from her house which is estimated to be of a market value of 25,000 rupees.
Chandradebi Chakma has been booked under sections 21(B), 8(C) and 29(1) of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances(NDPS) Act. The arrested lady has been produced before the court today.
