Police helped Golf to survive, prevented it from being extinct in J&K: DGP

Srinagar, May 14 (UNI) Asserting that Jammu and Kashmir Police has been promoting sports in the State to channelize the energy of the youth in positive direction, Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra Kumar said it has helped the Golf to survive during the times of turmoil and prevented it from being extinct.
“J&K Police has been promoting sports in the State and as a part of this activity, Golf Course has been established to sustain the century old game of the Valley,” Kumar said after throwing open Police Golf Course at a Tee Off function held here this evening.
The Golf Course is situated on the banks of world famous Dal Lake.
