Police arrest 12-member gang involved in multiple robberies

Thane, Jan 3 (UNI) The City Police here arrested 12 people allegedly wanted in five cases of stealing goods from several godowns located in the Shil-Daighar area of this district,police informed on Thursday.
Briefing the mediapersons about the operation,the Divisional Police Commissioner Dr D S Swami said the accused belong to two different gangs and hail from the states of Uttar Pradesh,Gujarat,and different parts of Maharashtra.
Since past two months,the incidents of breaking into godowns in the above-mentioned area was on rise hence the Shil Daighar Police Station registered offences under sections 454,457 and 389 of the IPC.
