New Delhi, Jan 20 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna is a pledge of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a dignified life to the poor.
Taking to twitter with a hash tag # Gramin Awaas Sabke Pass, he said that by releasing Rs 2691 crore for 6.1 lakh beneficiaries of Uttar Pradesh reaffirms the PM Modi’s resolution of providing roof to every persons by 2022.
Mr Shah also said that so far, 1.26 crore houses have been built under PMAY-G under the leadership of the PM Modi.
“Without any discrimination, the benefit of this scheme is being provided to the beneficiaries along with other facilities like providing toilets, gas connection, electricity and clean drinking water have been provided to the poors”, the Home Minister said in his another tweet.
Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana (PMGAY),is a social welfare programme, created by the Central Government, to provide housing for the rural poor in India by 2022.
