New Delhi, Jun 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday joined a host of celebrities from different walks of life, who wished opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan on his ouster from the Indian World Cup team, owing to his thumb injury.
Taking to microblogging site Twitter, Mr Modi posted, 'Dear @SDhawan25, no doubt the pitch will miss you but I hope you recover at the earliest so that you can once again be back on the field and contribute to more wins for the nation.'
Dhawan, 33, was ruled out of the ongoing World Cup 2019, after he injured his left thumb, during a match against Australia at Oval on June 9.
