PM urges NDA partners to push Govt agenda in Winter session

New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asked the NDA alliance partners to push government’s agenda in Parliament, as a counter attack to opposition protests.
Prime Minister was addressing a meeting of NDA leaders here on the first day of the Winter session of Parliament, sources said.
The first day of session was marred by repeated adjournments in Rajya Sabha after opposition members, especially from Congress and Samajwadi Party, created pandemonium protesting Mr Modi’s allegation against former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for alleged ‘secret’ meeting with Pakistani officials.
Mr Modi urged the ruling members to push government’s legislative agenda in both the Houses, and said, the NDA dispensation has been taking number of steps to take the country forward.
According to sources, Mr Modi referred to measures such as the GST and that the country has been making progress in last three years due to effective handling of economy.
Prime Minister also urged all members of NDA alliance to ensure good attendance in both the Houses.
The Winter session of Parliament, which commenced on Friday will continue till January 5.
