New Delhi, Oct 21 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit poll-bound Gujarat for the third time this month on Sunday where he will inaugurate Phase 1 of the RO RO (Roll on, Roll off) ferry service between Ghogha and Dahej. Among a host of projects that he will inaugurate in Bhavnagar and Vadodara districts, the much-anticiapated Rs 615-crore ‘ferry service is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Ghogha in Saurashtra and Dahej in South Gujarat from seven or eight hours to just over an hour. When fully operationalised, it will also enable movement of vehicles. On Sunday, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Phase 1, which is passenger movement and travel in the maiden voyage of the service. The PM will also address the gathering at Dahej, after completion of the voyage, which he termed as his “dream project” while addressing a gathering at Gandhinagar on Monday. Next, the PM will inaugurate the Sarvottam Cattle Feed Plant of Shree Bhavnagar District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd. From Dahej, the Prime Minister will travel to Vadodara for a public meeting where he will dedicate to the nation the Vadodara City Command Control Centre; the Waghodiya Regional Water Supply Scheme; and the New Head Office Building of the Bank of Baroda, at Vadodara. He will hand over keys of houses to beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (urban, as well as rural), lay foundation stones of several infrastructure and development projects, including an integrated transport hub, regional water supply schemes, housing projects, and a flyover. Also on the anvil are laying of the foundation stone for the capacity expansion of the Mundra-Delhi petroleum product pipeline, and a greenfield marketing terminal project of HPCL at Vadodara, the Prime Minister's Office said in a release.
