PM pays tributes to late Sushil Modi at his residence in Patna

Patna, May 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the residence of the party stalwart and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Modi in Patna and paid rich tributes to the departed leader on Monday.
After he arrived at Jaiprakash Narayan International Airport, the convoy of the PM left for the residence of Modi late evening, where he met the family members of the departed leader. After paying homage to the late leader, the PM, while interacting with the wife of Sushil Modi expressed, his deep grief over the demise of the leader. The Prime Minister also interacted with the children of Sushil Modi and other relatives present there.
The PM stayed at the residence of the late Sushil Modi for nearly 10 minutes from where he went to the party office located in Veer Chand Patel Path in the state capital.
On his maiden visit to the party office, the PM interacted with the members of the election committee of BJP and other senior leaders of the party. Besides both Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Sinha and Samrat Choudhary, the party state President,and other senior leaders were also present in the party office.
From the BJP office the Prime Minister will visit Raj Bhavan for his overnight stay. The Prime Minister during his two-day visit to Bihar is scheduled to address rallies in Siwan and in Goriyakothi of Maharajganj Loksabha constituency on Tuesday.
The Party office has been decked up to welcome the Prime Minister for the first time. The preparations were underway for the past week to accord a warm welcome to the Prime Minister in the Party office.
Elaborate security arrangements were made in and around the BJP office given the PM's visit. The security was also tightened in the state capital for his visit.
Earlier on his arrival at the Airport in the late evening the Prime Minister was accorded a warm welcome by the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Kumar Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary along with other dignitaries.
