PM Modi, PM Netanyahu hold telephonic discussion, discuss Strategic Partnership, Gaza peace plan

New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a telephone call from his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday evening, where the two leaders reviewed the robust India-Israel Strategic Partnership and exchanged views on the situation in West Asia.
The Prime Ministers expressed mutual satisfaction at the "continued momentum" in the bilateral strategic partnership and committed to "further strengthening these ties for mutual benefit," a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office said.
The conversation underscores the importance both nations place on elevating their cooperation across various sectors, which recently included a focus on defence, technology, and innovation.

SC stays Rajasthan High Court order on removal of liquor shops near highways

New Delhi, Jan 19 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Monday stayed a Rajasthan High Court order directing the removal or relocation of all liquor shops situated within 500 metres of National or State Highways across the State. The Bench comprising Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta passed the interim order after hearing Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for the petitioner, and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta for the State of Rajasthan.
