Varanasi, Jan 22 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his visiting Mauritius counterpart
Pravind Kumar Jugnauth held bilateral talks here on the sidelines of the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas celebrations.
Earlier Mr Jugnauth attended the PBD Convention which was addressed by him as well as Prime
Minister Modi.
Mr Jugnauth arrived India on Sunday on a week long visit to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations at Varanasi and also to attend the Republic Day parade on January 26 in Mumbai.
During his speech at the Pravasi Bharatiya function here on Tuesday, the Mauritius Prime Minister
thanked Mr Modi for inviting him to be a special guest at the Republic Day parade in Mumbai on January 26.
According to official sources, Mr Jugnauth will offer puja the famous Vishwanath Temple and also witness the city's much talked about Ganga Aarti.
During his stay, Mr Jugnauth will also call on President Ram Nath Kovind at Varanasi on Wednesday.
President Kovind will be here to address the valedictory session of the 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebration.
The Mauritius Prime Minister will also visit Prayagraj and visit the Kumbh Mela area on Thursday, January 24.
The visiting dignitary will be in Mumbai on January 25 and January 26 wherein the Maharashtra Chief Minister Mr Fadnavis will call on him, sources said.
He will attend the Republic Day Parade at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on January 26 and also attend at Home function to be hosted by the Governor of Maharashtra.
