New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Monday took a stroll around the Buddha Jayanti Park in the national capital where there is an offshoot of the main Bodhi tree under which Gautama Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment in Bodh Gaya. The two leaders also enjoyed snacks there, including golgappas.
PM Modi in tweets, with photos of the two leaders taking a walk around the park and offering floral tribute under the Bodhi tree, said:
“One of the aspects which connects India and Japan is the teachings of Lord Buddha.
