PM Modi changed diplomatic and strategic narrative against terrorism: Jitendra

Jammu, Jun 16 (UNI) Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said on Sunday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the diplomatic and strategic narrative against terrorism and set a new norm in this regard.
Addressing the Jammu and Kashmir BJP Working Committee meeting here, Dr Singh said, by the Balakot air strike, government targeted the fountain-head of terrorism at the root of its origin.
The Union minister said "Our war is against terrorism and not against any community, and similarly in Kashmir valley, the war is against terrorists and not against Kashmiris."
Dwelling on the outcome of the recently held Lok Sabha elections and the unprecedented mandate obtained by the BJP, including the record victory margin in Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency, Dr Singh said, while this election demolished a number of myths, there are, at the same time, also a number of lessons and conclusions to be drawn.
He said, on the one hand, the decisive voter in this election was youth who comprised over 70% of the total votes and who sent out a loud and clear message that he is not ready to be misled by the false propaganda of a section of media or unsubstantiated criticism from opponents, because he is better informed through new hi-tech sources of information and that he is capable of taking his own decisions without getting influenced from any quarter.
He also emphasized the point that the credit for the record vote share obtained by the BJP goes to such voters who may not have been able to be contacted by the party Karyakarta but who were beneficiaries of Modi’s welfare schemes and beneficiaries of the last five years of monumental development.
Citing instances, he said, the record victory margin in Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha seat is because of youngsters, who stand on newly constructed Keeryan-Gandiyal bridge in Kathua and take selfies even at 42 degree summer afternoon and it is also because of those youngsters who post their selfies from the world’s highest railway bridge at Reasi, even though all this is deliberately under-played by certain local media channels.
Lashing out at Congress and National Conference, Dr Singh said, these parties have no stand on issues like Article 370 or 35-A.
He said, on the one hand, National Conference talks of reverting back to pre-1953 position and not allowing the provisions of Indian constitution to be applied in Jammu and Kashmir, on the other hand the fact is that most of the provisions of the Indian constitution were extended to Jammu and Kashmir during the National Conference rule, and that also includes the black law of Emergency regime extending the Assembly term from 5 to 6 years which was an Indian constitution amendment promptly adopted by the then Chief Minister Sheikh Abdullah.
Dr Singh suggested a 100 days roadmap of work agenda at the organization level, on the similar lines as the Modi government has charted out for itself for first 100 days from the day of swearing in.
During these first 100 days, he said, the requisite home work at the organisational level could be carried out on certain crucial issues like, for example, Delimitation of Assembly constituencies and distribution of packages to refugees from West Pakistan and PoJK, he said.
