PM mentions Shillong’s cherry-blossom in ‘Mann ki Baat’

Shillong, Nov 29 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday made special mention about the cherry blossoms in Shillong, while sharing his thoughts with the people on the 18th episode of his popular ‘Mann ki Baat’ programme through All India Radio and Doordarshan.
He said that the ongoing pandemic has also provided the people with opportunity to witness nature in a new and different way.
“We are stepping into winter and will be witnessing different hues of nature. Over the past few days, pictures of cherry blossom have gone viral in the Internet. You might be thinking that when I am talking about cherry blossom, then I must be talking about this famous entity of Japan, but it’s not like this. These are not pictures of Japan, these are pictures of our very own Meghalaya, Shillong,” Modi said.
