PM led panel to meet Jan 24 to select new CBI chief

New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) The three member selection panel, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will meet on January 24 to choose the new chief of the Central Bureau of investigation, sources said on Wednesday.
The high-level committee also includes the Chief Justice of India and the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha, or leader of the largest party.
On Tuesday, Senior Congress leader and leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding that the meeting to appoint a new CBI Director be held at the earliest.
