PM in Kerala to review flood situation

Kochi, Aug 17(UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Thiruvananhapuram
International airport on Friday night by a special Air Force flight to review the flood situation
in Kerala.
Mr Modi was received by Kerala Governor Just (rtd) P Sathasivam, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his Cabinet ministers G Sudhakaran, Kadakampally Surendran, BJP state president Sreedharan Pillai and Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala at the airport.
The Prime Minister will stay at the Raj Bhavan tonight.
On Saturday morning, Mr Modi will conduct an aerial survey to the flood-ravaged regions and later he will have a high-level meeting with the Chief Minister and other officials.
Later, he will leave for Delhi.
