PM Imran acquitted in Parliament house attack case

Islamabad, Oct 29(UNI) An anti-terrorism court on Thursday acquitted Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in the 2014 Parliament House attack case.
The verdict was announced by Islamabad based ATC Judge Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan.
The court also decided to indict Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood and Planning Minister Asad Umar all of them have been summoned at the next hearing.
Along with the Pakistani Prime Minister, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) worker Mubashir Ali was also acquitted in the case while Pat's chairman, Tahirul Qadri, was declared a fugitive.
The 2014 Parliament House attack case pertains to the incident that occurred on August 31, 2014, when PTI and PAT workers marched towards Parliament House and Prime Minister House and clashed with police deployed in the Constitution Avenue.
