PM condoles loss of lives in Bhiwandi building collapse

New Delhi, Sep 21(UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed his condolences at the loss of lives in a building collapse at Bhiwandi in Maharashtra.

The PM said that rescue operations are underway and all possible assistance is being provided to the affected.

'Saddened by the building collapse in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. Condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for a quick recovery of those injured. Rescue operations are underway and all possible assistance is being provided to the affected,' the PM said in a tweet.

Seven children and three others were killed and 11, including a four-year-old boy, rescued after a three-storeyed building collapsed in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra on Monday.

Around 10 persons are still feared trapped after the building caved in at 0340 hrs, police said, adding that search operations are underway.
