New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) A petition was filed before the Supreme Court challenging the yesterday's notification of the Uttar Pradesh government which had ordered to fill up 31,661 assistant teachers posts, out of a total of 69,000 posts, in the state.
The petition was filed by lawyer Ritu Renwal, for her client before the Supreme Court.
The petition is yet to come up for hearing before the Supreme Court, but as per sources in the Supreme Court registry and staff of the SC, it is learnt that the petition will likely to be heard by the Apex Court in a period of 10-15 days.
The petitioner sought a direction from the Apex Court and pleaded that the September 19, notification issued by the Uttar Pradesh government, for filling up of 31,661 assistant teachers post, be stayed immediately.
The petitioner further stated that the Apex Court had already reserved its order with respect to the filling up of 69,000 assistant teachers post in the state of Uttar Pradesh, and in such scenario, the Apex Court should stay the new notification issued by the UP government.
