Playing transgender in ‘Nagarkirtan’ has been life-changing experience for me: Riddhi Sen

Panaji, Nov 25 (UNI) National Film award winner for Best Actor, Riddhi Sen has said that playing the character of a transgender in ‘Nagarkirtan’ was a life changing experience for him.
Addressing a press conference at the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here on Sunday, he said, “The movie is about a transgender person who has a woman trapped inside a man’s body. The transformational part from a man to a transgender individual was very difficult. The hardest thing was to capture the physicality of a woman and to maintain the fine line.''
The film was a small effort to plunge into the darkness and help those people who were not accepted the way they were, he said and expressed hope that the film would change the attitude of at least one per cent of society towards the third gender.
