Pinarayi to open MVR Cancer Centre

Kozhikode, Jan 14 (UNI) A new state-of-the-art Cancer Centre to commemorate former Kerala Cooperation Minister MV Raghavan will be launched at Chulur in Chathamangalam Panchayat in this district of Kerala later this month.
Chairman CN Vijayakrishnan said the MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute (MVRCCRI), constructed at a cost of Rs 350-crore.
A unit of Cancer and Allied Ailments Research (CARE), an initiative of Calicut City Service Cooperative Bank, the centre was conceived to provide solace to hundreds of cancer patients in Malabar region who have to travel long distances and spend a lot of money for treatment.
