New Delhi, Aug 10 (UNI) A breakthrough seemed in sight on Monday in the crisis confronting the Congress in the state with Congress President Sonia Gandhi deciding to constitute a three-member committee, to address the issues raised by rebel Congress leader Sachin Pilot and the aggrieved MLAs.

The decision to form the committee came after a meeting held by Mr Pilot with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to discuss his grievances.
It comes just four days before a special session of the Rajasthan Assembly, where Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is likely to hold a trust vote, to prove his majority on the Floor of the House.

The AICC said Mr Pilot met Rahul at his Tughlaq Lane residence and conveyed to him, his grievances.

In a statement here, AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal said, 'Mr Sachin Pilot met with former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and expressed his grievances in detail. They have had a frank, open and conclusive discussion. Mr Sachin Pilot has committed to working in the interest of Congress party and the Congress government in Rajasthan.

'Following this meeting, Congress President Sonia Gandhi decided that AICC will constitute a three-member committee to address the issues raised by Mr Sachin Pilot and the aggrieved MLA and arrive at an appropriate resolution thereof,' Mr Venugopal said.
