PIA plane crash: Initial report holds pilots, ATC responsible

Islamabad, Jun 24 (UNI) Pakistan's aviation ministry held pilots and the air traffic controller (ATC) responsible for last month's fatal plane crash in the southern port city of Karachi that left 97 people dead, including the crew members.
Presenting an initial report compiled on the basis of an probe made by an investigation team to the lower house of parliament on Wednesday, Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said both the pilots and the ATC failed to follow the standard protocols on landing, which resulted in the tragedy.
