Lucknow, Jul 28(UNI) Mystery shrouds over the missing photographs of AICC general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Gulam Nabi Azad and senior UP leader and chairman of the Coordination committee Pramod Tiwari from the main banner and hoarding of the party for Mission 2017 saying " 27 saal, UP behal". The party has released the banner, poster and hoarding with a title '27 Saal- UP Behal' sent to all the senior party leaders by the UP Congress Committee. The banner also gives a toll free number-80901-80901 for public to join the Congress. The banner has all the senior leaders with party president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi on the left corner while UP president Raj Babbar, chief minister face Sheila Dixit and campaign committee chairmar Sanjay Singh in the right. However, two circles have been left blank where the local leaders can put the photo of leaders of their choice. On the upper portion of the banner, there are photos of past Congress leaders starting from Mahatma Gandhi to Rajiv Gandhi which also have photos of Abul Kalam Azad and Dr B R Ambedkar. But missing photos of Gulam Nabi Azad and Pramod Tiwari has raised questions and the Congress leaders in UP are confused over the act. A senior party leader told UNI here though there is no clarification by the party but may be it was an effort to repeat the Bihar strategy where no Muslim face was promoted in the assembly polls. Similarly Mr Azad's photo was not included in the main banner. The photo of Pramod Tiwari could be missing due to his closeness with the ruling Samajwadi Party and the party do not want to embarrass itself during the elections while attacking the Akhilesk Yadav government. But still Pramod Tiwari is a Brahmin and the party was trying to lure the caste back to the party fold in this elections. Recently, Mr Azad had led the a mega 600 km road show from New Delhi to Kanpur for three days in a bus. Mr Tiwari also accompanied Mr Azad in the road show. UNI MB ADG 1220
