Photo Electoral Roll to be published on Sept 27

Bhopal, Sept 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) today said that the Second Summary Revision of the photo electoral roll for Madhya Pradesh will be published on September 27.
"Subsequent to the publication of draft electoral roll on July 31, a total of 31,75,048 applications had been received till the last date for filing claims and objections. Of them, 16,72,805 applications pertained to addition of names, 7,43,489 to removal of names and 6,52,086 to transfer of names in the same assembly segment," Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer VL Kantha Rao told media here.
