Phogat family commits to embracing CAS verdict

Chandigarh, Aug 13 (UNI) Mahavir Phogat, the uncle of acclaimed wrestler Vinesh Phogat, spelt out the family’s stand of accepting the forthcoming Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) verdict with grace and to honor Vinesh as if she has won a gold medal.
"The prolonged process has tested our patience, with delays stretching over the past 5-6 days," Mahavir told a section of media. "Despite the frustration, we remain committed to accepting the CAS decision with open hearts. Our primary focus now is on supporting Vinesh and preparing to welcome her home."
The Phogat family’s sentiments resonate with the entire nation, as 140 crore Indians eagerly await the verdict. Mahavir conveyed hope for a favorable outcome while revealing plans for a grand reception in honor of Vinesh.
