Petrol price up 28 paise per litre; diesel cut by 0.06 paise

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI)The price of petrol has been increased by 28 paise per litre while the price for diesel was slashed by 0.06 paise, state-owned fuel supplier Indian Oil Corporation said.
Now, the consumers will have to spend Rs 64.33 per litre for and Rs 52. 57 per litre for diesel in Delhi.
The current level of international product prices of petrol & diesel and rupee-dollar exchange rate warrant increase in selling price of petrol and decrease in selling prices of diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision, Indian Oil said in a statement.
The movement of prices in the international oil market and rupee-dollar exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes, it added.
