Pepperfry targets Rs 6500 cr GMV revenue by 2020: Hussaine Kesury

Hyderabad, Jun 21 (UNI) Pepperfry, India’s leading Home and Furniture products marketplace has targeted to reach the Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) Revenue of Rs 6500 crore by 2020, its Chief Category Officer Hussaine Kesury said.
Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, he said that the company also targeted to reach 20 million houses by 2020. Of the total revenue of Rs 6500 crore, Rs 3000 would be from Home Brands.
He said that Pepperfry which was growing by 80 per cent Year-by-Year has 10 house brands including—Woodsworth, Mintwud, CasaCraft, Amberville, Bohemiana, Mudramark, Mollycoddle Primorati, Mangiamo and Clouddio.
Mr Hussaine said that 80 per cent of company’s business coming from furnishing and 20 per cent from non-furnishing like decorum utilities (kitchen utilities).
He said that the company has posted Rs 1000 crore (GMV) Revenue during 2017-18. Of it, Rs 500 crore came from house brands and Rs 500 crore from market place. He said that close to 50 per cent of company’s sales come from house brands. It has good market place and was doing well. It share also increasing in the market place, he said.
Mr Hussaine said that he company has 32 experience studios across the country including two in Hyderabad. 39 more experience studios would be set up by April 2019. “We are planning to set up one studio at Vizag in the next two months”, he said and added that the company also planning to open experience studios in tier two cities like Mysuru, Hubli and among other places after study.
While speaking on popular house brand, Mr Kesury said that Mintwud was Pepperfry’s number one brand, followed by Woodshworth.

Mintwud has clocked in a business of Rs 225 crore (GMV). It contributed close to 15-20 per cent to the overall furniture business.
Conceptualized for modern and compact homes Mintwud offers consumers a rare combination of style and functionality. In the last few years, Mintwud has become very popular among Indian consumers enabling them to furnish their one BHK homes under Rs 50,000, he said.
