People support  to BJP reflects aspirations of new India: PM Modi

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that people voted for BJP because BJP has the power to take the biggest and toughest decisions in the interest of the country.
Addressing the party workers at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday after the resounding victory in Gujarat, he said "The public support received by the BJP is a reflection of the aspirations of a new India". He added that, BJP received the support from the people for the empowerment of the poor, exploited, deprived and tribals.
Calling the victory in Gujarat is" historic" Modi said the people of Gujarat have created a new record by giving vote in huge numbers, rising above cast, class and community.
The Prime Minister said that the public support received by the BJP is a manifestation of the 'youthful thinking' of the youth of India.
Modi said, Youth vote only when they have faith in government. "Today, when the youth have voted in large numbers for the BJP, the message behind it is very clear that the youth have trusted our work" he said.
Prime Minister said, "the results of Gujarat have proved how strong is the desire of the common man for a developed India."
"The message is clear that when there is a challenge before the country, the people of the country have faith in the BJP" he said.
Speaking over the results of Himachal assembly results, he said the difference between the number of votes for BJP and Congress was less than 1 percent.
He added that Himachal has never seen such a tough election in history. "We will be committed to the development of Himachal Pradesh and work to fulfill the aspirations of the people" he added..
He also thanked the election commission for conducting "peaceful" elections. "I want to thank the Election Commission for conducting elections peacefully. As far as I know, re-polling in any poll booth was not required" he said
Talking about the by- election in Uttar Pradesh he said this affection towards BJP is also visible in the by-elections of different states of the country. "BJP has won in UP's Rampur. The performance of the BJP in the Bihar by-elections is giving a clear message of the days to come" he said.
BJP president JP Nadda also spoke at the party headquarters, and tanked the people of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. He said BJP got the victory in Gujarat under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"It's our record win in Gujarat under PM's leadership... We got 52.5% vote share. Congress's voting percentage dropped to 27 per cent" he said.
