People hold demonstration before Sushil Modi house in protest against waterlogging

Patna, Oct 13 (UNI) People infuriated over long-stretched water logging following recent excess rainfall in the state capital held demonstration before the private residence of deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi in Rajendra Nagar locality here today.
Rainwater is still logged in some localities of the state capital even as heaps of garbage can also be seen at various places.
Infuriated people raised slogans and held a demonstration before Mr Modi's house for nearly an hour. Later, police reached the spot and pacified the agitated residents of the state capital.
The anguished people reached Bankipur circle office of Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) later but they got agitated more when they did not find any employee or officer there. Police once again pacified them anyhow and brought the situation under control.
Similarly, people also held a demonstration at Saguna roundabout and also on Khagaul Road to vent their ire against waterlogging and subsequent difficulties.

Bengal records highest confirmed Covid cases on Friday;Toll rises to 880

Kolkata, Jul 10 (UNI) Bengal recorded 1198 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, the highest so far on a single day today taking the tally to 27,109, while the toll jacked up to 880 with 26 more deaths,
According to the latest State Health Department bulletin, the count of discharged accounted for 17,348 with 522 recovering today.
