People disappointed with BJP's rule: Pawar

Sangli, Aug 19 (UNI) Senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar today accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, both at the Centre as well as in the state, of coming to power on false assurances and slogans of 'Make in India' and 'Make in Maharashtra'. Addressing a party worker rally at Palus village in Kadegaon tehsil of the district, some 35 km from here, this evening, the former deputy chief minister alleged that the people were disappointed and disillusioned with its administration, He said that there was a 'BJP wave' in the country in the run-up to the elections and pointed out that it would subside.He cited the example of former prime minister late Indira Gandhi who lost election for imposing emergency in the country. Mr Pawar criticised Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for asking the farmers of the district who lift water from the Takari and Maishal irrigation schemes to switch their agricultural pumps from electricity to solar power. He said that these water pumps entail huge expenditure. Mr Fadnavis was giving false promises to entice the people, the NCP leader charged. Sumantai Patil, MLA, Arunanna Lad, Vilasrao Shinde, NCPdistrict president, Snehlata Patil, ZP president, Deelip Patil,president of Sangli District Bank, Sharad Lad, NCP youth wing district president, Popatrao Sankpal, Maruti Chavan, Kiran Lad,Tanaji Jadhav, Digamber Patil and hundreds of the NCP workers attended the rally.
