Peasants income to be doubled by enhancing soil fertility: Mangal

Patna, Dec 5 (UNI) Bihar Agriculture Minister Mangal Pandey said that the farmers' income would be doubled by enhancing soil fertility.
Addressing a function on the occasion of soil day here on Thursday, Pandey said that no concrete efforts were taken to improve the soil health. The soil was being extensively exploited since long with the use of chemical fertilizers, he added.
He said that our ancestors knew about how to maintain soil fertility even during agricultural activities for which organic fertilizers were used along with maintaining the agriculture cycles.
