New Delhi, Jul 7 (UNI) Journalists in Delhi on Tuesday gathered outside the Press Club holding a peace march, demanded judicial probe into the alleged suicide of the Hindi Daily journo Tarun Sisodia who was being treated for COVID at AIIMS.
A colleague of the deceased journalist has reportedly said that during treatment at AIIMS Tarun mentioned of the possibility of being murdered, which has triggered several questions.
The journos present during the march have expressed deep concern over Tarun's death and demanded a judicial inquiry into it.
Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Kumar Choubey has also expressed deep grief over the untimely death of Tarun.
Taking to twitter he said, 'The untimely death of journalist Tarun Sisodia ji is a very sad and disturbing incident." This is an irreparable loss. I am deeply saddened by this incident. Orders have been issued to investigate the incident. I express my deepest condolences to his family.'
The Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan had expressed deep grief over Tarun's demise and ordered AIIMS director for the inquiry into this incident, and after these orders a high level committee has been formed which has to furbish the report in 48 hours.
On Monday, 37-year-old Tarun Sisodia, a journalist with a Hindi daily allegedly jumped from a building in AIIMS from the fourth floor and died.
Sisodia was being treated for Covid-19 at the institution, and it is also said that he had earlier undergone a neuro surgery in March.
