Pawar hits out at NDA Govt for collapse of cooperative sector post demonetisation

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jan 16 (UNI) Former Union minister and NCP supremo Sharad Pawar today strongly hit out at the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre for its demonetisation drive and claimed that the cooperative sector, which is the backbone of the Indian economy, has collapsed post demonetisation of old high value currency notes.
Addressing a gathering after inauguration of a state-level 'Sahakar Parishad’ organised by the Adarsha Apritam Media Group at Sant Tukaram Natyagruha here, he alleged that since demonetisation, the farmers were the worst affected as they could not get any benefits from cooperative and district banks where most of the farmers have their savings account due to the currency crunch.
He said the farmers who play a vital role in growth of the country, had been ruined and were the worst affected as they did not get value for their produce in the market due to the cash crunch specially in rural pockets of the country.
