Patole criticises BJP for anti farmer policies

Akola/Mumbai, Nov 12 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Tuesday called the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) an "anti-farmer party" which has no right to ask for vote from the farming community and assured that if Maha Vikas Agadhi (MVA) came to power, it will take decisions for farmers' welfare including a loan waiver.
Patole, who was addressing an election campaign rally at Akot assembly constituency, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has still not fulfilled the promises he made to the farmers when he came to power in 2014.
" Farmers' income has not been doubled, there is no price for agricultural products, on the contrary, Modi has increased the cost of agricultural materials, made seeds, diesel expensive," he said.
