Paswan, Ram Kripal Yadav condole demise of Jagannath Mishra

New Delhi, Aug 19 (UNI) Union Minister and LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan and BJP MP from Pataliputra Ram Kripal Yadav on Monday condoled the death of former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra.

"I am sad to know about the demise of Dr Jagannath Mishra," Mr Paswan tweeted.

Mishra was Chief Minister of Bihar thrice, Mr Paswan said. "I offer my condolences to the bereaved family," the Union Minister tweeted.

BJP MP Ram Kripal Yadav also tweeted in Hindi saying- "On the demise of Dr Mishra, I offer my humble tributes".

Mishra passed away here on Monday following a prolonged illness. He was 82.

The former chief minister was suffering from old age ailments and was undergoing treatment.

Expressing grief over his demise, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar declared a three-day state mourning.

The Late Mishra had served as chief minister of Bihar’s chief Minister thrice.

New Delhi, Sep 20 (UNI) The daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Iltija Mufti has sought information from the Union Home Secretary, on persons detained there on or after August 5, after revoking special status under Article 370 through a Constitutional amendment, within three days, on behalf of her mother. Ms Iltija said that she has written a letter to the Union Home Secretary, and his counterpart in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. She said she was yet to get a reply from the HS and the state government, she tweeted on Friday.
