Paswan flays selling of articles at price 5 times more than MRP

New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) Expressing deep concern over over-charging of commodities up to five times more than their Maximum Retail Price, Union Minister of Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan today said people should get complaints registered against the practice and the government will surely take action on their complaints.
After a programme of the Bureau of Indian Standards, Mr Paswan told mediapersons, ''It is a legal offence to sell food articles at a price five times more than the MRP as is done at airports, shopping malls and Cinema theatres.''
The citizens should report such matters on customer helpline number and the government will certainly initiate action in this direction.
