Panaji, Oct 27 (UNI) Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar on Saturday claimed that State Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was being held under house arrest by a coterie led by an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officer who not allowing anybody to meet the Chief Minister.
Addressing a press conference at the state Congress headquarters in the city, Mr Chodankar said that he strongly suspected that the signature of the chief minister could be forged and notings on the files related to decisions taken by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) were signed by the officers citing 'oral approval' from the Chief Minister.
“There is a coterie in the administration and there is one IAS officer. There is also a political coterie. They do not allow anybody to come close to him, even his family members. That is why we are saying he (Parrikar) is under house arrest,” the Congress leader alleged.
