ParliamentPosted at: Jul 28 2016 7:10PM Parl nod to Lokpal Act amendment; to extend deadline for declaration of assets by public servantsNew Delhi, Jul 28 (UNI) Parliament today passed the Lokpal and Lokayuktas(Amendment) Bill which seeks to extend the July 31 deadline for public servants to declare their assets with the Rajya Sabha giving its approval to the legislation.The Bill, which seeks to amend the section 44 of the existing Act, under which public servants are bound to furnish the details of their assets, debts and other liabilities within a period of 30 days from the date on which they make and subscribe an oath or affirmation to enter upon their office, was moved for consideration by Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh.It was later passed by a voice vote.Please log in to get detailed story.Tags: #Parl nod to Lokpal Act amendment; to extend deadline for declaration of assets by public servants
