Parameshwara downplays buzz over CM’s dinner

Bengaluru, Oct 10 (UNI) Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara today dismissed speculation surrounding Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s upcoming dinner for ministers and party MLAs on October 13, saying the gathering has no special political agenda.
“Hasn’t the CM invited us for dinner before? It had been a long time, so he invited us again. There is nothing special in it. The only agenda is to have food,” he told reporters here.
Parameshwara clarified that the dinner is a casual meet, not a forum for cabinet reshuffle discussions. On reports of drastic changes in November, coinciding with Siddaramaiah completing half of his term, he remarked, “Who said there will be a revolution in November?” He also addressed rumours of a secret meeting with ministers HC Mahadevappa and Satish Jarkiholi, stating that such discussions were routine and not political.
