Paradip port achieves 100 MMT mark in Cargo Handling for fourth year in row

Bhubaneswar, Feb 23 (UNI) Paradip Port Trust (PPT) has achieved the handling of 100 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) of cargo for the fourth year in a row.
A PPT release here said despite the COVID-19 crisis, the port once again repeated the feat by crossing the 100 MMT mark in succession and achieved cargo throughput of 100.30 MMT till February 21 in the current fiscal.
The achievement of handling 100 MMT of cargo by PPT in the current fiscal is despite the global COVID-19 crisis and two of its existing berths are not available for handling of cargo as these were under mechanization process.
