New Delhi, Jul 4 (UNI) Breaking the glass ceiling, the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), also known as para- military forces have expressed their willingness for intake of the transgender candidates in their Forces.
Soon after the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reminder for their opinion on the changing rules for the direct recruitment of the transgenders in the officer rank, they have begun the process of firming up their views, as CRPF and BSF have already agreed to the proposal.
In this process, the a senior official of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the largest among the paramilitary outfit, said, “We fully value the spirit of the order of the Supreme Court on transgender. We already have a gender neutral work environment. In view of the impending policy guidelines of the MHA, we shall make it further compatible as per the need.”
