Kolhapur, Sep 16 (UNI) The police custody of sharp shooter Sachin Prakash Andure, Amit Ramchandra Baddi and Ganesh Miskin was extended for four days till September 20 in the murder case of CPI leader Com Govindrao Pansare.
The Special Investigating Team had re-arrested the three accused. While Andure had been detained from Pune CBI court, Baddi and Miskin were transferred from NIA court on September 10, for their suspected involvement in the murder of Com Pansare on February 16, 2015.
Judicial Magistrate S S Raul extended their custody, after hearing the arguments.
Public Prosecutor Shivajirao Rane, during arguments in the court, said that the SIT had submitted it's report to the court during the 10-day police custody of Baddi and Mishkin, which was a progressive one, granted by Judicial Magistrate JM Mali on September 10.
He said the sharp shooter gave geographical information of the place, where a meeting was held before the murder of Com Pansare, but did not disclose the place.
Mr Rane also told the court that Andure and Amol Kale, another suspect, who was already arrested and in Protective Custody, had attended the meeting for recce and took pistol practice session in an unknown forest, with three unknown suspects.
Police said it wanted to investigate in detail, the place where the meeting was held; the jungle, where the pistol practice was held, and three unknown suspects, who were present for the practice.
On this ground, the SIT said it wanted some more time for investigation and requested the court to extend further the police custody, for another four days.
