Panjokhra residents infuriated over temple loot

Ambala, Oct 21 (UNI) Residents of village Panjokhra near here are agitated over the incident of looting at the (Kutia) temple being looked after by Baba Deep Chand.
The residents complained that a group of robbers had looted cash and other valuables from the kutia and made the aged saint Deep Chand captive by tying his hands and legs in a closed door room.
They also tortured the saint while escaping. On learning about the incident, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij visited the kutia to enquire about his health. The Baba has a sizeable following in Panjokhra and surrounding villages. Two DSPs Anil Kumar and Baljit Singh with police force accompanied the Minister. He directed the DSPs to take action for arresting the robbers. They assured the Minister that the miscreants would be nabbed very soon.
