Panchkula: FIR action ordered against 10 BLOs for negligence in SIR-2026 revision drive

Panchkula, Jun 17 (UNI) In a stern action against negligence in election-related duties, authorities have ordered the registration of FIRs against 10 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Sohna Assembly Constituency for alleged dereliction of duty during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign.
The action was initiated following reports of lapses in the execution of responsibilities assigned under the voter list revision programme being carried out by the Election Department.
According to press release issued by Haryana IPR Department, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Electoral Registration Officer Akhilesh Yadav said election-related work forms the foundation of a democratic system and any negligence in such responsibilities would not be tolerated.
