Panchayat election: 77.20 pc polling recorded in district Fatehgarh Sahib

Fatehgarh Sahib, Dec 30 (UNI) Around 77.20 per cent polling was recorded in Panchyat election on Sunday in district Fatehgarh Sahib.
The election for 295 posts of Sarpanches and 1060 for Panches were held on Sunday. Fatehgarh Sahib District Electroal Officer Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon said 72 per cent votes were polled in Amloh block, 80 in Khamno Block, 78 per cent in Bassi Pathana block , 80 per cent in Khera block and 76 per cent in Sirhind block. He said election was held in peaceful manner. No untoward incident was happened.
