Panasonic India to secure 15 per cent market share in AC products segment by 2021: Gaurav Sah

Hyderabad, Mar 14 (UNI) Panasonic India, Business Head, Air Conditioners Group Gaurav Sah said that the company will secure 15 per cent market share in Air Conditioning products segment by 2021.
Talking to newsmen, after launching new its new rang of inverter air conditioner, inbuilt with its patented air purification system called Nanoe Technology that actively removes PM2.5 and airborne particles giving upto 99 per cent clean air here on Wednesday, Mr Gaurav said that at present the company market share was seven per cent during 2017 and expecting eight per cent during 2018.

He said that the company has 52 models ranging from Rs 26,000 to Rs 80,000. As many as 3.6 lakh units were sold out during 2017-18 and targeted to achieve 4.17 lakh units during 2081-19. The company targeted the business of Rs 1500 crore during 2018-19 with the growth rate of 17 per cent, he said.
Speaking on company’s 60th anniversary of air Conditioner category this year, Mr Gaurav said that the company has sold out more than 10 crore ACs across 100 counties.
Explaining the new ‘air-purifying inverter air conditioner’, Mr Gaurav said it comes with Aerowings that give more control over the direction of the airflow across a wide area and ensures flow of cool and purified air in very corner of the room.
With Aeroslim design, iAuto X feature for faster cooling and Econavi sensors which reduces energy wastage upto 65 per cent. The new air conditioners are available from a starting price of Rs 39,000 to 72,000 in 0.8T, 1.8T, 1.5T, 2.0T variants, he said..
