Entertainment » OtherPosted at: May 1 2016 1:24PM Panaji to have grand football stadium soonPanaji, May 1 (UNI) Paying heed to the demands of the Goa Football Association and all the football lovers across the state, Goa Government through the Goa State Urban Development Authority is developing a brand new football stadium at the Campal Parade Ground in the city. In a short ceremony today, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar laid the foundation where the plaque was unveiled. Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Deputy Chief Minister Francisco D’Souza, Panaji MLA Siddharth Kunkolienkar, Panaji CCP Mayor Surendra Furtado, Urban Development Authority Director Elvis Gomes were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Parrikar said, The stadium facility will be built in 18 monthsand is in fulfillment of the requirement of such a sporting facility within the precincts of the city.
