Pakistan team visits airbase; Cong, AAP activists hold protest against visit

Pathankot, Mar 30 (UNI) Joint Investigation Team(JIT) from Pakistan arrived here from New Delhi and is visiting the airbase which was the target of terror attack on January 2 in which seven Indian security personnel had been killed. The JIT has been given only limited access to the airbase. It will examine 17 civilian witnesses. It is also expected to examine SP Pathankot Salwainder Singh. Strict security has been mounted and all sensitive areas have been barricaded. The technical areas of the base will be out of bounds for the Pakistan team. Congress and AAP workers held protest demonstration in protest against the visit of the team. Yesterday, National Investigation Agency(NIA) briefed the JIT about the evidence, progress in probe, and the role of Jaish-e Mohammad(JeM) in engineering one of the most audacious attack on military at Punjab border.
