Kabul, Apr 22 (UNI) Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday called on Pakistan to not to interfere in his country and rein in the Taliban so as to ensure peaceful departure of NATO forces next month.
Sputnik reported the President saying that Afghanistan wished to see NATO forces leave with dignity.
He made these comments during a visit to the southern province of Kandahar.
He said that Pakistan, which both Afghanistan and the United States blame for giving a safe haven to radical fighters, should use its clout over the Taliban to ensure that it returns back to peace talks.
Last week NATO announced
that member states will start an orderly withdrawal from Afghanistan by May 1, the process would conclude within a few months.
The US has announced its plans to complete the pullout by September 11.
